Top 5 Places to Visit in Cornwall with a Baby or Dog: A Dads Travel Review

Cornwall is one of the most beautiful parts of Britain, and it’s perfect for families with children and pets alike. Whether you’re looking to spend a week relaxing on the beach or want to explore some of Cornwall’s famous landmarks, there are plenty of places to visit in Cornwall with a baby or dog – and these five are sure to please every member of your family!

1) Newquay

Newquay is the perfect destination for families and dog lovers. There are plenty of beaches and parks, as well as plenty of dog friendly accommodation, so you don't have to leave your furry friend at home. The town has many pubs and restaurants that welcome dogs on their patios too! You can even take your baby out on one of the city's many boat trips, giving them a front row seat for the beautiful coastline. Why not make a trip to the zoo?

2) Bodmin Moor

Bodmin Moor is the perfect place for an adventure. With plenty of walking trails and scenic views, it's the perfect place to explore with your dog, but be sure to keep them on their leash! It's also a great area for cycling, so bring your baby carrier if you're travelling by bike. Bring food and water though as there are no shops nearby.

3) St Ives

St Ives is the perfect place for the whole family. From sandy beaches, adventure parks and plenty of shops, there's something for everyone. The pier is a great place to visit whether you're walking your dog, feeding the ducks or just taking in the sights. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants too if you fancy eating out. And as it's home to some of Britain's most famous artists, St Ives has plenty of galleries and museums that are worth visiting too!

4) Lizard Point & Kynance Cove

Lizard Point and Kynance Cove are two of the most popular beaches on the coast of Cornwall, especially if you're looking for somewhere that's dog-friendly. They're both about 15 minutes from Newquay, where you'll find plenty of places to eat, drink and sleep. There's also a great fish and chip van at Kynance Cove that serves up some of the best food I've ever tasted!

5) Lands End

Lands End is the furthest point of mainland England, and is surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in all of Cornwall. It's a great destination for any family with kids, and especially those traveling with their four-legged friends. The coastal views are pretty spectacular, and it's not uncommon to see seals sunning themselves on the rocks! There are plenty of places to explore, but be warned - this place can be busy so you may want to avoid weekends if you're looking for peace and quiet. We recommend bringing snacks for your dog, as there aren't many shops nearby.

Of course, these are just a handful of spectacular places that you can visit in Cornwall. There are many beautiful places to visit. Some of the other places were visited were:

St Austell, Pentawen & Mevagissy. If you are into camping then there are 2 perfect campsites that I would highly recommend: Little Winnick campsite based on the outskirts of St Austell and Perran Quay based at Newquay. You will not be disappointed!
